Training in the use of work equipment is required by most Health and Safety legislations and Work at Height regulations. Employers are obliged to train their employees in the safe use of equipment being used.
IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) is widely recognised as the organising body for the Powered Access Industry, with more than 70,000 operators trained each year throughout a worldwide network.

Upon successful completion of the course the platform operator will receive a PAL Card (Powered Access Licence), a safety guide, log book and a certificate, which lasts for 5 years.
